The reproduction Steel Shield of El Cid Campeador by Marto of Toledo Spain is a detailed replica of that used by El Cid Campeador in the 11th century. The ornamental triangular shield is forged from steel and intricately crafted by Marto of Toledo Spain. The shield is pointed on the upper part and features not only a natural metal finish but a 24K Gold plated metal sheet riveted at the center which depicts Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, best known as famed Spanish hero El Cid. The frame is ornamented with 24K Gold plated rivets and 24K Gold plated metal shaped sheets to reinforce the corners.
