These gambeson greaves are made from a thick and durable 85% cotton material and padded on the interior with similar cotton. Metal grommets allow for the leather lacings to snugly fit these padded greaves onto the lower legs.
Padded armor is essential to the defensive kit of the medieval warrior - on its own it provides good protection from cuts and slashes and when coupled with mail or plate armor over it it doubles as impact resistant padding beneath a hard outer shell.
Please Note - if you have wider legs you may find the included lacings to be too short and may have to substitute your own.
