This Norman Kite Shield is constructed from Poplar wood which is tightly overlaid in linen and hand-painted. The shield boss is steel and the forearm strap and shoulder strap are leather with adjustable steel buckles. The hand grip is leather. The shield is finished with a padded leather arm pad on its back.
