Like Bonnie and Clyde, Mary Read and Anne Bonney were partners in crime. They spent most of their lives as pirates under Calico Jack. Often overshadowed by her dominate partner, Read has never really received her fair share of appreciation for being the fierce pirate that she was. In fact, in one battle, the men wouldn't come out to fight, but instead of Read simply running away, she shot down in the hold, wounding some, killing others. The Mary Read Pirate Vest really captures the essence of something she would have been comfortable enough in to battle, yet looked great too! Made with a scoop V-neck collar from rich brocade, seven buttons descend down the front while the hem offers an interesting angle. This is a perfect garment to pair up with our Mary Read Coat, or it can be left to stand alone. This 100 percent rayon vest is available in Golden Brown, in S/M and L/XL.
