After full armor and before padded armor was the middle man known as the Brigandine. It was characterized by cloth construction with steel plates attached. Modeled after the original, the Medieval Man-at-Arms Brigandine (Black) is an authentic reproduction that promises to be both comfortable and protective. Featuring a soft cotton outer shell and inner lining, this garment has riveted steel plates in between the two layers. It also ensures a secure fit with leather straps and buckles on the sides. Lightweight with flexible movement, this brigandine will authenticate your medieval look and is great for costumes and re-enactments.
