This gorget is constructed from plates of riveted 18 gauge steel. The two halves of the gorget are fitted around the neck fastening the adjustable steel buckles and leather straps. The interior of the gorget is blackened. The gorget is finished with two leather shoulder straps that can be used to affix a pair of pauldrons to the gorget.
