As simple as the design is, there is just something so intriguing about this Medieval Castile Shield. After all, the mission of countless battles was to destroy city walls and these mighty fortresses.

Made from 16-gauge thick steel, this shield is solid enough to take a pounding during tournaments and re-enactment. It is carefully hand-painted and then polyurethane is used to coat it and provide protection to the finish. Two 1.5-inch heavy-duty genuine leather straps are already attached to this SCA-compliant shield so you can use it the minute you have it in your hands.

Please allow 7 to 10 days for the Medieval Castile Shield to ship as it is hand-painted by one of our talented artists. The shield complies with SCA regulations however, it is your responsibility to be familiar with rules and regulations, which vary from one tournament to another. Please understand that the Tournament Marshall dictates all standards. To protect yourself, never use a shield during combat activity unless SCA officials approve it prior to an event.
