The original was first carried in 1860 after being designed by Ames, but as beautiful as it is, it is not one many have been able to replicate faithfully.

Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®, the 25.5-inch blade has been hand-forged from high carbon steel. This is a British Military special steel, which means it will flex to an impressive 20 degrees and then return to true. The brass basket hand-guard was crafted in this way to provide more protection during close quarter combat of iron men and wooden ships. A scabbard and leather frog have been included.
