Although the club was a primitive and practical weapon and tool, the Battle Axe rates right up there with one of the most important weapons used in history. Metal axes are known to be crafted in abundance throughout the Copper Age and remained a popular pick well into the Middle Ages. This was an inexpensive choice that even peasant warriors could afford, and they could be used in battle and around the camp. An axe such as this one could easily be used to kill an enemy, butcher an animal, and cut large branches from trees for firewood.
Made by Windlass Steelcrafts¨ to replicate those from Circa 1100, our Battle Axe is 23.25 inches long with a 6.25-inch steel head. The head has been pinned to the hardwood shaft, which features a curve at the end for more control.
