Brass Basket Hilt Claymore
One look at the Scottish Brass Basket hilt Claymore and you are quickly transported to 17 January 1746. You can just imagine the clansmen surrounding you, all holding a sword such as this at the Battle of Falkirk as they overrun the English. The basket hilt is a true piece of art in itself, carefully replicated by one which was discovered on the Culloden Moor. The 32.5-inch blade has been forged from high carbon, fully tempered steel. It features the traditional double-edged broadsword pattern that saw its popularity from the 1500s to 1800s. Windlass Steelcrafts® has thoughtfully provided a jewel-red cloth liner and a scabbard has been included. For an additional fee, the blade can be sharpened. |
