Made by Windlass Steelcrafts® from hand-worked brass, our Greco Roman Red Crest Helmet is a showstopper. Although it saw its peak during the Roman Empire, a primitive form of this helm circulated Greece around 350 BC. It was seen on centurions, legates and legionnaires up to 400 AD and although small variations could be seen, it always granted an intimidating and powerful appeal to the wearer.

Our version of the helmet is fit for any officer, topped with a horsehair crest and adorned with leather accents. Fantastic detail can also be seen on the front, and although it is not a representation of any specific helmet, it offers a style seen on many historic artifacts. The helmet is also available with a black crest (MR300156), but the crests are not interchangeable. Stand not included.
