Medieval Double Wrap Belt
Although a belt such as this one could have been worn by the early B.C. Celts, it wasn’t until the Middle Ages that this trend exploded in popularity. This wasn’t just a fashion statement or a ploy to get more attention though, warriors discovered that this was the most practical and comfortable way to carry their sword. Our Medieval Double Wrap Belt has been designed after one that would have been worn during these brutal and eventful times, well in the Renaissance. Since it is made extra-long, it wraps around the body a second time. This allows the weight of the sword to actually fall on the hip, not the waist. A frog hanger has been included with this belt that will accommodate all scabbards. Top grade leather has been used to create this 1.75-inch wide belt and a buckle and studs complete the look. Available in black with nickel silver or brown with brass. |
