Medieval Practice Weapon - Dagger
Throughout the Middle Ages, a waster, or wooden sword, was commonly used for training purposes. After all, a man was typically judged by his swordsmanship and his acquired skills would keep him alive. By training with a practice weapon, skills could be developed in a safe way. Not only that, it would save their real sword from wear-and-tear of edge-to-edge. Windlass Steelcrafts® has created our Medieval Practice Weapon – Dagger to take the abuse of re-enacting and sparring, but it should be noted that wood is capable of breaking along the grain. It has been handcrafted from fully seasoned, solid hardwood and boasts a contrasting wood short guard and round pommel. It has been designed to represent weapons used from the 12th to 15th centuries. |
