The Italian army was known for their fashion-forward approach to armor. Larger plates were used to create rounded finishes. They could be considered a contemporary piece of art in a Victorian home. Even without reading the name, it is easy to tell which army was associated with this Medieval North Italian Sallet Helmet. It is beautifully designed and a superb replica of what was worn during the medieval age.

Hand-crafted from 18-gauge EN45 steel, our replica is fully wearable or gorgeous enough to put on display. Although the thin view-slit doesn’t provide a tremendous amount of visibility, it certainly makes up for it in offering maximum protection. It is highly unlikely a soldier would have been concerned with getting stabbed in the eye on this helmet.
