Medieval Dagger
Circa 1150 A Medieval Dagger such as this one would have been at the belt of nearly every Crusader during this time. Throughout Europe and the Holy Land, it became a weapon of choice because it was designed with a great deal of thought to be both practical and effective. Due to simple styling, it could easily be used with a mail mitt. You will notice that the pommel and guard both curve gently away from one another; this was done to lock the hand in place. Leather cord is also wrapped around the wood grip for better control. Windlass Steelcrafts® has crafted the 12” blade from high-carbon steel that has been well-tempered and formed to a keen point. A scabbard has been included. |
