Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar was considered the lord-master to military arts. He was a Castilian nobleman, diplomat and military leader. Our Medieval Shield of El Cid captures the essence of this powerful man who was ultimately killed by an arrow through the head. This shield is bursting with detail and will look stunning added to a collection or as a standalone piece. It has been crafted from burnished 20-gauge steel and heavily decorated with bronzed embossing. A back-mounted bracket has already been attached which allows you to attach one or two swords behind it. The shield is completely ready to mount on the wall.
