The deadly Spike Club Flail was certainly a weapon to be feared. The hinge and chain allowed the end to whip around a shield, striking defenders with a forceful and often fatal blow. Although many assume this was a weapon of choice for a knight, modified versions were used in the 16th century in the German Peasants War. Many can be seen secured in Royal Armories and the Pitt River’s Museum.

Our gorgeous Spike Club Flail is one that would have been much too extravagant to use in war, but definitely one that deserves a place on display. The solid hardwood handle has been wrapped near the end for a better grip, and it boasts 21 removable spikes.
