Black Knight Helmet
In Arthurian Legend, the Black Knight tied his wife to a tree out of anger. There is also a Black Knight who was the grandson of King Arthur, responsible for killing is mother. Of course, the most popular Black Knight was Sir James Douglas, a Scottish knight from the Scottish Wars of Independence. He became known as the “The Black Douglas” for his gruesome episodes and evil ways, decapitating prisoners and tossing them in a pile. Our Black Knight Helmet has been handcrafted by skilled artisans in Italy to ensure it is museum quality. Made from 18-gauge polished steel, the helmet has been darkened and aged for a truly authentic finished product. The visor is fully movable and it offers neck protection. This helmet is fully wearable for costume or reenactment purposes, or you can simply place it on display like the piece of art it truly is. |
