Samurai Dragoon Helmet
The first thing you notice on this Suji Bachi type of bowl is the fantastic dragon crest on the front. Look close and notice that there are two additional ones to complement it on either side. A picture really can’t do the Samurai Dragon Helmet justice. The bowl is inspired directly by the Momoyama Period; Katchu Shi (the finest helmet makers) was known for their distinct use of overlapped and riveted plates. This menpo is what the Ressei men would have worn in Nara, now home to ruins, shrines and eight temples. Thoughtfully crafted by Hanwei, this Samurai Dragon Helmet is fully lined and wearable, or it is an exquisite piece to simply add to your collection and put on display. You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase this item. This item is currently out of stock and on backorder. If you place your order now it will ship when it becomes available. |
