Born in 1521, Takeda Shingen was the eldest son of the well-respected Takeda Nobutora, ruler of Kai. Although his original name was Takeda Harunobu, he changed it in 1551. His home life was troubled and through the years, he was required to imprison and even execute close family members.

The first thing you notice when you look at the Takeda Shingen Kabuto is the detail in the horn spirit head piece. It is made from red finished metal, and then brass is used for trim and the dragon medallions. It features horse hair as a finishing touch, a cloth lining and a neck protection that has been decorated with colorful cord. It is fully wearable or you can place it on the wooden display, which is included. Models AH2082, 2083 and 2088 are exceptional replicas of great samurais. Please note that model AH2081 has been replicated from a museum piece from an unknown province, making it a truly unique piece.
