The Roman Legions was created from basic citizens. These men didn’t have prior training, they were basically thrown into a group under a centurion and expected to learn as they went along. Throughout history, these soldiers have been spoken of not only for their countless battles, but for their fine armor and head protection as well.

Our Roman Troop Helmet would have been worn by the average legionnaire in the peak of the Roman army. The extended neck protection and cheek plates are its defining characteristics, complemented by a 90-degree, round metal plate that has been thoughtfully connected to the helmet. Brass fittings and decorations finish the helmet exquisitely.
